Environmental Policy

Global Pacific, mindful of its responsibility as a Corporate citizen, will ensure that the impacts caused through the delivery of its services are not detrimental to the environment or the health and safety of its employees and members of the public.

We will, as a minimum, comply with the relevant environmental legislation and regulations providing the necessary resources to do so.  Our objective is to deliver our services in a manner that not only conforms with the environmental requirements of our Clients and Stakeholders, but is also exemplified in terms of industry best practice.

To achieve this objective it is our policy to document, implement, maintain and review on a regular basis our management System, which incorporates an Environmental Section.

Global Pacific is committed to ensuring each employee and stakeholder understands the importance of their environment in the prevention of pollution, enhancement of the environment, and the continuous improvement of the Management System.

Occupational Health and Safety

Global Pacific recognizes, in undertaking its business activities, that the health and safety of its employees and the public, is one of the prime responsibilities. In fulfilling this responsibility, Management has a duty to provide and maintain as far as practicable, an environment that is safe and without risks to health. Specifically this means:

  • Maintaining the work environment in a safe and healthy condition.
  •  Providing and maintaining safe plant and systems work.
  •  Ensuring the safe transport, use, handling and storage of plant and substances.
  •  Providing the means to enable our employees to work safely, through  information, training and supervision. 

In achieving these objectives it is required of both Management and Employees not only to comply with the relevant Occupational Health and Safety legislation, Global Pacific's Occupational Health and Safety Procedures, directions from Management concerning safety and regulations, but also good industry practice.

Global Pacific is committed to ensuring employees understand the importance of their involvement in the provision of a safe and healthy work environment. Each employee has a duty to take responsibility for their own actions, which influences the health and safety of not only themselves, but also others. This duty of each employee extends to the active implementation of a safe and healthy work environment, and participation in the continuous improvement of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
