As part of the Australian Government commitment to deliver a National Broadband
Network that will provide super fast broadband to Australian homes and workplaces, it is
investing up to $250 million to immediately address backbone blackspots through
regional Australia.
This will provide approximately 6,000 kilometres of backbone infrastructure to five
separate locations; Darwin, Broken Hill, Geraldton, South West Gippsland and Victor
Harbor.
Global Pacific is providing technical advice and analysis services relating to technical
project documents and reports, design documentation, milestone acceptance reports
and compliance audit of the Contractor's design, deployment operation and
maintenance requirements under the program.
