Global Pacific has been engaged to provide the services of Contract Management and site Superintendent representative to Fosters Ltd for the building, engineering and site remediation works for Rheem’s Rydalmere, NSW and Welshpool, WA sites.
The project has considerable challenges as the Rydalmere site is heavily contaminated and is adjacent to the Parramatta River. The project requires the remediation of 26,000m³ of contaminated material with hydrocarbons and inlcudes 2,200m³ of asbestos material.
The remediation program is being developed and managed by Global Pacific in accordance with a Voluntary Remediation Agreement with the EPA. The site is also registered under the Heritage Act and Heritage approval was also required before the works could proceed.
