The Australian Government in April 2009 announced the establishment of a new Company,
NBN Co., to build and operate a new super fast national broadband network in Australia
to connect 90 per cent of all Australia homes, schools and work places with broadband
speed of up to 100 megabytes per second to a total value of $43 billion.
